Happy Families

These are two hand drawn sets of families from the old card game Happy Families.

We were asked base our 1st set upon a family that all ready existed in the game, but to give it a modern twist. I came up with this gritty and realistic interpretation of a modern day, working class, butcher family.

The 2nd set had to be of a family profession new to the game. I chose to do the dentist family. I experimented with a different style of drawing and played around with the view points of the characters (the father’s card is from the daughters point of view and vice versa).
